Larry & Lee Ann's Journey travel blog

On Highway 93 as we make our way toward Ely from Vegas...

All of the different colors and layering really show on the rock...

We passed several crews working on new power lines for many miles...

We found the new twisted look and shape interesting...

It's a beautiful day!

One of these days we're going to stop & check this out...

Larry says this has to be an old volcano...

Sorry about the buggy windshield but isn't this a pretty drive?

Off to our right...

Now this is cute!

This would be a great place to ride quads...

Rural America here in Lund...

Wonder when this house was built?

The old and the new...Highschool in background!

Last pass before dropping into Ely! It was a pretty drive today...

We've arrived in Ely safely. Well, we actually arrived 10 days ago but as usual I seem to be running behind in posting. But I'm almost there. We've been enjoying visiting with Mom & Lori. They are both doing well. Mom had her blood work done so she could see her doctor for a routine visit. As you know she's been with sister Joyce in Mesquite over the winter and has just recently returned home. The Ely winters are way too tough for her. Works out well for her. Anyway, spring is here and the weather will be beautiful here for the next few months.

We'll be here for another week and then we're going to California with the grandkids for a week to check out the beach and most importantly Disneyland! I haven't been there in years even though I was born and raised in southern California. I know they will love it as much as I did when I was a kid. After all, it is a very magical kingdom!!!!

Then we'll return to Ely for a couple of weeks before heading to the Black Hills for the summer. Again....Yep, this will be our 8th summer in Custer, SD. Perhaps our favorite place on Earth! Thanks for stopping by this morning. We appreciate all of our loyal readers!
