People waiting for the parade, the line went on for miles...

Last one!

We are really impressed with the city of Branson. Talk about keeping Christ in Christmas, this town goes all out. We attended their 65th Annual Adoration Parade today. It all started with the lighting of a huge nativity scene located high on the hill above Lake Taneycomo. Some of the figures are over 40 feet in size. We didn't wait to see the lighting, we wanted to get our chairs set up downtown so we could watch the parade. :-) The parade went on for hours, it was AWESOME!

The Branson community gathers on this special day each year for 65 years, they celebrate the true meaning of the Christmas season. The whole town stops and reflects on the beauty of the Christmas story with Joseph, Mary and the baby Jesus with shepherds and more. On this special night, no one is in the limelight and no organization is promoted, only an overwhelming outpouring of community and celebration as everyone comes together to honor the story of Christmas. We met new friends and enjoyed talking with them for hours during the parade. One lady has lived in Branson for 32 years. She said she would never leave it, I can see why. We had a wonderful time. I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story. If you really want to celebrate the birth of Christ at Christmas, Branson is the place to be. It was incredible!

PS.. Please excuse the blurry pictures, I did the best I could, but I am having trouble taking pictures at night. I will get Ed's advice when we spend Christmas in Kentucky. :-)
