Enchanted Trails RV Park - site F-4

New Mexico countryside

Coming down into the valley and the town of Moriarty, NM

The local wildlife in Albuquerque (along with a tumbleweed)

The trip over to Albuquerque was a great ride. The roads were smooth and the weather about as good as it can get. We were only on the road about 4.5 hours, including a stop at Wal-Mart and Flying J. Set up at our site was quick and easy

AND I HAVE BROADBAND SPEED for my Verizon card! Ahh, life is good. :-) Doris had to take a picture of the local wildlife.

She also took some pictures of the countryside

we passed through and the great view of Moriarty, NM

as we came down from one range of mountains into the valley. Albuquerque is at 5,300 feet so we wound up another 1,200 feet higher at the end of the day. We were actually at 7,100 feet on both sides of the valley containing Moriarty. We would have taken pictures coming down into Albuquerque but the traffic made it too difficult.

We couldn't get another night here at Enchanted Trails since there is a huge RV Rally starting this week-end and they expect 4,000-5,000 RVs to attend - space is tight! That will allow us to stay an extra night at Holbrook, AZ and an extra day to explore the Petrified Forest National Park. We have already scoped out a few of the trails and expect to do at least three of them Tuesday and Wednesday.
