We left Branson early this morning for our four hour drive to Little Rock, Arkansas. It was a hilly drive through the Ozark Mountains with lots of climbing, but the mountain scenery made it worth it.
Highway 65 takes you through a lot of little towns, it was fun seeing the towns except for the roads with the close curbs to watch out for. (see photo) This went on for miles. :-)
We stopped for diesel in Clinton, Arkansas, at $3.79 gallon times 75 with a total of $284.00. Yikes! This is why we have learned to stay in places for a month at a time, it really helps our budget.
We are staying at the Riverside RV Park located in downtown Little Rock on the Arkansas River. The sites are large and the view is awesome. We got our site for the Passport America rate of $12 a night, what a deal!
We will be exploring the Little Rock area for the next few days before heading toward the coast. We especially want to visit one of the Army Corp Parks in the area and Pinnacle Mountain in nearby Roland, Arkansas. Check back later for more from Little Rock.
