our day 47, 33rd on rt66
driving thru the desert part of rt66, seeing this part of the hiway makes one wonder, why the hell they came this way... beautiful scenery but.... WHAT! this part of the rt66 in NOT maintained, very rough and slow going - today we are camped in newberry springs, ca... the major roads I-40/I-15 are for those going/coming from vegas and parts of ca. or the east coast - several major natl' parks in the area and many places here were old movie sets, those with desert scenes...one of the cafes' in our photos was a movie set for it's name, bagdad...
