We had a fun day visiting Pirate’s Landing today. Pirate’s Landing Fishing Pier in Port Isabel, TX is located perfectly at the entrance to the Queen Isabella Causeway that leads to South Padre Island. Pirate’s Pier is the longest pier in Texas. They have everything you need for a great fishing experience.

We enjoyed walking down the pier and watching people fishing. Jerry is getting his fishing license this week. We are checking out all the great fishing areas, this pier tops the list so far. I can watch all the birds while he is fishing. :-)

The area is decorated with lots of huge pirates all over the pier, the shops, and the restaurants. We had lunch at the Pirate’s Landing with incredible views of the bridge to Padre Island. The food was fabulous, Jerry had blackened-shrimp tacos and I had shrimp salad with avocado. We enjoyed viewing the awesome lighthouse too. There is so much to see in this area. We have a lot of exploring to do, check back later for more from Texas.
