Around 3:00 I stopped at the Tillamook Cheese Factory to eat lunch and tour the facilities. It's amazing how much cheese they produce. They are members of the Tillamook County Creamery Association. The farmer-owned cooperative has 150 member dairies. The huge factory was immaculate. Of course I bought some cheese (smoked cheddar), as well as some smoked wild salmon. Scrumptious!
After this tour, I started thinking about where I would be staying tonight. I should have thought about that earlier in the day; but I had forgotten that it was Friday and that the campgrounds would fill up early. I finally found a spot at the Chinook Bend RV Resort & Marina outside Lincoln City, Oregon. Amazingly, they allowed me the Passport America discount. Most campgrounds won't give it during the summer months.
