Larry & Tawnia were in Canada for Christmas so we got together with them on Saturday. Bonnie & Larry were invited as well. We enjoyed a nice lunch before exchanging gifts. They only took two Christmas gifts each for the kids to Canada with them due to baggage constraints so Jasmine & Levi opened their things Saturday morning. They got some very interesting, entertaining things! Wow, I don't remember there being anything even remotely like what's available for children these days. Especially electronic learning devices!

They spoiled Larry & I with gift cards for Wal-mart, Amazon, Restaurants.Com and a Fandango movie. A card shuffler, a really cool book entitled 'Weird Las Vegas & Nevada' and a framed pic of the kids. Thanks guys, we loved it all & the gift cards will be greatly appreciated as we utilize them! We hope to use the movie card tomorrow.

The last gift of the day was a Barbie car for Jasmine. There was minimal daylight left as we all made our way outside for her maiden voyage. Levi got a small car as well but was only interested in being a passenger in Jasmine's, at least for this trip. She was quite the reckless driver at first but by the end of the drive was doing very well. She'll really enjoy driving it at the nearby park I'm sure. And it will be considerably safer as there are crazy drivers on the road here in Vegas!

Well, that's it for now. We're glad the kids had a safe return flight home. And we pray that everyone will drive safely in case you are out on the roads for New Year's Eve tomorrow night. We plan to stay in and watch the ball drop at midnight. We haven't braved the crowds for several years now. Besides, it's too darn cold after the sun goes down! Happy New Year!!!!!
