This morning Virginia Staats called me to see if I could meet her at the South Austin Senior Center for lunch. I decided to go because it had been a long time since I had been there. I've been working on another trip journal and just haven't taken time to go. We enjoyed our meal of chicken, rosemary potatoes, greens, etc.
After lunch we saw the newest exhibit in the hallway, "A Fiber Art Experience" presented by Austin Fiber Artists. The exhibit includes hand-made doilies, hand-stitched quilt blocks, quilts and wall hangings. There was also an antique apron line; most of the aprons were made by the Austin Fiber Artists' mothers or grandmothers. The exhibit will remain until September 15.
