Waiting for valet to bring our car we had a view of...

We got our first good rainstorm yesterday. It was gray & cloudy all day and for awhile we thought we might escape the actual downpour. That was my wish for sure! We had a dinner reservation and show tickets already reserved and paid for so had no option but to follow through with our evening's plans. We really dislike driving anywhere in town when it's raining. All the oil rises to the surface of the roads, and it's such an infrequent occurrence, that the 'idiot's' don't know how to drive in it, at least not safely. We saw several wrecks while we were out for the evening.

We gave ourselves plenty of time to arrive at Macayo's and we enjoyed our meal as always. I had the chicken fajita tortilla salad and loved it. I've tried ordering a fajita salad in numerous different restaurants, in numerous different states, & nobody makes it like Macayo's!!! I'm always so disappointed. I keep telling Larry to remind me that I'm 'never going to order that again while on the road' but when he does, I ignore him. Don't ask me why! I guess I just get stubborn. You gals can relate to that, right?

The Australian Bee Gee's show was terrific. We had a center, front row table so the view and the sound was awesome. They do a very realistic tribute to the original group. My goodness, the Bee Gee's were responsible for a ton of great hits! The brothers wrote all of their own hits, as well as writing and producing several major hits for other artists. Did you know that at least 2,500 artists have recorded their songs? Now that's impressive!

Have I mentioned that we purchased our tickets through Groupon? Groupon is a deal-of-the-day website that features discounted gift certificates usable at local or national companies. We've used their 'deal of the day' several times over the past two years. Mostly for restaurant dining but we've gone to a few shows at a terrific price as well. And purchased ice cream, pizza, golf games, a massage, haircut etc. You don't actually have to use your 'deal' the day you purchase it, although they do have dates & restrictions attached. We always check what's available when we arrive in a city large enough to offer a reasonable discount. Anyway, it's free to sign up so you might want to check it out. They do offer a small referral amount ($10 I believe) if you send them a new customer, so, if you decide it's something you're interested in we'd appreciate it if you used our 'number'. Thanks!

Well, that's it for now. Our schedule is jammed for the next couple of weeks but after that we plan to catch up with a few friends that reside locally. It'll be fun to see them again! And if you happen to get in our area, please, look us up! We'd love to grab a cup of coffee with you:)
