The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

Today we left the Somme and drove south and east to Lac l’Orient near Troyes. Arrived safely at the campground. Surprised by our size despite sending them e-mail with details and photo. However, no problem as they had various options for us. They were very busy which surprised us, mainly Brits and Netherlanders. They had a lot of sites out of action due to the ground being very wet and boggy. They had most of their hardstanding pitches occupied and units on the campground roads. We decided to park at the end of a road with an open aspect and out of the way rather than on a pitch near the swimming pool and bouncy castle. A lovely spot to sit. It amused the office when they booked us in as we were next to the smallest pitch on the site!
