Quinault Indian Casino

In Ocean Shores, we are only a couple hundred yards from the beach. At Seaview TT the beach trail was obvious. Here we (Mike) looked for it, found a trail not worn by lots of traffic, thinking this was it, we walked to the beach through tree branches, weeds, etc. about half way there we found the real trail. There was a sculpture in the weeds near the beach that was made from objects that have e washed up on the shore, we saw a kite flying. The kite was anchored to the ground. We saw another one that had crashed and the wind had covered it with sand. Being a windy day the surf was whipped into some foam which made a neat picture. Along the beach there were 100s of broken sand dollars and Dungeness crab shell everywhere. As you can see some make for some very interesting pictures, especially the one with the sun reflecting off the water around a broken sand dollar. The sand looked like miniature sand dunes with ridges sculpting the sand. We came across some sand figures also sculpted by the wind. Reggi found a piece of rope, a sand dollar and shell to add to the Beach waste sculpture.

After walking the beach, we drove to Ocean Shores to get newspapers. We saw a chainsaw sculpture vendor along the way. We stopped at Quinault Indian Casino.
