Rockpile outside the museum

the main building of the museum, but there's more inside than you'd...

I am in this little western town at a very big complex attending the first Fleetwood Motorhome Association Rally until July 1. It is like being at school with seminars relating to this lifestyle. There are about 400 Fleetwood motorhomes here and we are all hooked up to electric and have water and sewer! They built this place so that big rallies could come here and they do. There is another motorhome rally going on in another part of the complex and we don't even run into each other! I haven't found a "downtown" yet, but it must be here!

On the way north to this town, I got out of the Rockies onto high plains. Signs said this is cow country, so eat beef, but I saw sheep in many places and someone rounding them up by using an ATV, not a horse. Then I saw quite a few pronghorn antelope and they are pretty! I hope to go out and get a few pictures before I leave here.

I visited the Rockpile Museum, which is not a museum full of rocks! It does have a lot of Indian points in it but so much more. There are lots of rifles and pistols, saddles and bits and stirrups, pianos and clocks, doctor's tools, general store items, and wagons and such. There is a little hiss full of rocks outside the entrance, so that's where it got its name!
