West Coast Wandering....

We left Blenheim this morning heading to Greymouth with a few planned stops along the way . Being Good Friday we had high hopes for a coffee... our hopes were fulfilled somewhere in the middle of nowhere before St Artaud where we found a hot pink coffee van offering f*** good coffee. They lied. We did chat with a couple of locals and used their toilet which was quite an open affair .... no photos coming as the wifi limits don’t let me upload.

A quick side trip to see Lake Roroiki in St Arnaud before heading back on track to Westport. We followed the Buller River up hill and down sale through some pretty spectacular countryside, a few landslide areas and lots of one lane bridges.

Portside bar and restaurant looked inviting and did not disappoint. Probably our lunch of the trip so far. Another beautiful Chardonnay and a scrumptious salad to boot.

From there we dropped into Cape Foulwind (because why wouldn’t you? ) and the Pancake rocks at Punakaiki and the odd photo stop..... There are so many pretty places and I have so many photos.

Arrived in Greymouth to our first room glitch since Auckland . Luckily there was a spare room with three singles rTher than the little double bed we originally were given. Tomorrow we head to Christchurch and the rest of the girls for Golden Oldies .
