Today's post goes back to last months visit with friends in Casa Grande. Larry's buddy from high school contacted Larry to let him know that two other high school friends were coming for a visit from California. So of course we made a change in our travel plans & timed it for the 'high school reunion'! We usually see Gary every year during the spring & we have seen Phil a couple of times over the years. But Larry hadn't seen Matt since 1960 & was really looking forward to catching up with all of them.

The first day we enjoyed a very nice dinner at Gary & Lynne's lovely home & the guys drug out the high school year book & chatted for hours. Wow, what memories they all have! I think they weren't on the deans list or the nerd list either! It seems like 'women' were uppermost in all of their minds??? That and cars! As a matter-of-fact, they all seem to be car buffs to this day. Perhaps a bit more than Larry, although he loves the 'old rides' too. The next morning the guys headed over to Chandler to visit a restoration/consignment place & enjoyed reliving their teen driving years. Gary purchased a nice 1964 Ford from this place a few months earlier & they all enjoyed taking 'her' for a spin while I was relegated to photographing the event :) No ride for me :(

Later that afternoon we all enjoyed visiting the Casa Grande Ruins. I actually wrote a bit on that visit last post so if you missed it, just go back to the home page & you'll see the listing entitled 'Casa Grande Ruins'. It's a small ruin in comparison to many we've visited but we enjoyed the day with our friends anyway.

That evening Matt treated the five of us to sushi/Chinese food. Delicious, we highly recommend Lucky Dragon in Casa Grande, especially the sushi! And the walnut shrimp too :)

All too soon it was time for the guys to head back to California & us to move on as well. We really enjoyed visiting with old friends & it's always good to see Gary & Lynne. Hopefully it won't be another 50 years before the guys can hook up again. If so, I'm guessing that reunion will be in heaven!!!! (Based on their current age, LOL)
