It was a 189 mile trip from Utica, IL to Crawfordsville, IN, almost all of it on Interstates 39 and 74. The traffic was heavy for some reason but we still made the trip in less than four hours. The scenery was the same as it has been the last few trips, nothing but corn and soy bean fields, so not many pictures. We did see three more large wind farms but they were too far to get a picture. We were a little surprised to see that many wind farms in this area of the country.
We are staying at the Sugar Creek Campground which is a small park just outside Crawfordsville. We have a good sized site with 30 amp full hookups. Verizon signal is good and somehow we managed to get the satellite locked on over the trees in front of us.
We didn't do much over the weekend but relax and watch football. Our Gators didn't play so well, not near good enough to be playing Alabama next Saturday!!!
It rained all day Monday and though we had planned on going to Fort Ouiatenon
just west of Lafayette, IN on Tuesday, we found that they are only open on weekends - oh, well their loss!!! We did manage to get a few things done on the Mothership we had been remiss in attending to.
Tomorrow, we head for a four-night stay in Rockville, IN, about 40 miles south of here.
