This morning I attended my church’s Christmas program, “Intermission – Life Interrupts; God Intervenes.” It took place in the Monterrey Oaks Mall and featured some families struggling through typical family disputes. It was, at the same time, funny and all too common, I think.
Tonight Val picked me up to take me to the Singing Christmas Tree at her church, Bannockburn Baptist Church. The program began with traditional secular Christmas music and dancers (Frosty, Rudolph, Santa, nutcrackers, etc.) in front of the tree and ended with Christian music and ballet dancers. It was very well done. Val’s daughter, Cindy Million, was standing on the third tier from the top of the tree.
After the program, Val and I stopped at McDonald’s for apple pie and coffee.
