Geocaching up another tree...

March 3 - 24/13

Mike and I left our friends in Bandera and travelled on I-10 towards Houston to spend some time with Gabby and our Houston friends. We were able to get a site at the San Jacinto RV Resort thanks to Stacey and Gabby. We got a nice site close to the river and had a great view of the sunsets over the water.

Mar 4 Gabby, Lynnie and I went to Houston to shop for a dress, we were able to find one in the first shop. I like it and now I have to find accessories for it. Lynnie had a doctor’s appointment so we drove her to that and when we went out for lunch at Ragin Cajun Restaurant and had my first crawfish thanks to Gabby letting me have some of hers. I had a lovely grilled Salmon salad. It was a great day with the girls.

Mike and I were able to get our 1000 cache at the San Jacinto Monument. Wow, I can believe we’ve found 1000 of them.

Mar 20 was Gabby’s birthday and we had a small party for her at the Hibachi Grill in Baytown. A great turn out and John (Jo Jo's husband) made Gabby a beautiful cheesecake with cherry topping. After lunch, we had reservations with the Houston Port Authority for a FREE boat ride around the harbour where International Cargo Liners dock to import and export goods. Gabby wanted to go see her son who was buried in a very beautiful cemetery, nearby. She wanted to show it to me.

We had to wait for the spring break to be over to go see a movie. So Mike and I went to see 'Oz: The Great and Powerful' We were the only ones in the movie and we watched it in 3D. It was good to see how they worked around the original movie 'The Wizard of Oz'
