Arrived in Beijing on Friday night (24th September). Hotel is lovely we were upgraded to a big suite so we have a sitting room, kitchen bathroom and large bedroom for aprox 20euro each a night (nice hey!!!).

Our hotel is situated right next to the shopping area very safe and very clean. The streets are clean except for the lumps of spit everywhere. All you hear walking down the street is aaaaaaaacccccccccaaaaaaaahhhhh spit!!! its disgusting. Shopping here is again the same as at home they even have Zara, vera moda etc.

One of the days we went to Tiananmen square then onto the Forbidden city. There is high security here, entering and exciting any toursit site you have to go through xray machine. Even in the underground you have to go through security.

There is apartently 17million people in Bejing it takes 4 hours to drive right around it. To be honest is does not have the feel of being very overcrowed. Toilets, oh my gosh the toilets. I have made a few attempts to go but had to run out of them again. They are the most disgusting places i have every been in. I carry hand sanitiser everywhere with me and only use the hotel toilet which is lovely and clean. But oh my gosh!!!!

We went to the Great wall yesterday Monday 27th. That was nice went with a tour up to see it. Very overcrowed but it was great to see. Some parts of the wall we quite difficult to walk as it was extremly steep and all the steeps were very uneven.

Departing from Beijing today Tuesday 28th September off to Chengdu (central China) hope toilets are better there!!!
