The end of USA Rt 1
The fort
Last year we went to Key West FL for St Patty's Day so Guinness could get drunk and get 0 Mile marker sticker on Rt 1. Now we are at the other end of Rt 1 but they don't have a 2209 Mile marker sticker because here they say this is the beginning of Rt 1. O well we came here anyway in the rain and muddy roads that are being worked on. We saw Ft Kent and learned about the boundary dispute and saw a old train station with a rail car that I think would be great fun to ride. I am staying at MY Brothers Place campground where Guinness can play in the pond.
We met a very nice 81 year old Lady named Fran from Michigan who has a fifth wheel trailer and is going to the Bay of Fundy Park in New Brunswick, Canada all by herself, She told this young kid that her husband, who died 2 yrs ago, and her started traveling when she was 67 and she doesn't want to stop just because he is not here. He showed her all about the truck and camper, she has a CB Radio and a map and off she goes. God Bless Her. I put some pictures of the various flowers I have seen.
