After three days in Banning, and two at the Quilt Show, we've moved on to the Colorado River KOA in Blythe, CA. We arrived here Sunday to stay three nights and then Wednesday we’ll be off to our main destination, Desert Hot Springs, to stay at the Sands RV and Golf Resort for the next two months. Paulette and I are really looking forward to that as we both really like the entire Palm Springs area and the Sands RV Resort in particular.

The KOA here in Blythe has a great location - right on the banks of the Colorado River. The river forms the border between California and Arizona. It’s a nice, clean park with great scenic views of the river which is really nice. The Colorado appers to be very, vey clear and it really moves along.

Today, we visited the big RV show in Quartzsite – what a zoo! There were literally thousands of people there, spread all over the many different venues around the town. We spent about 3 hours walking around the main event area looking at the displays and vendor’s merchandise but we didn’t really buy anything. In fact, we were quite happy to get in the truck and take the 15 minute drive back to Blythe and our RV Park to relax in the sun for the afternoon.

Mo and Molly are having a good time here as there are lot’s of great places to walk. They also have their own fenced K9 park where they can get off their leashes and run around a bit. Oddly though, when we take them off their leashes, they're not to sure what do do.

The weather continues to be just perfect – sunny with temps in the mid-20’s C. Definitely t-shirts and shorts from here on in. We’ll probably spend tomorrow taking a quick tour around the city of Blythe to see what's here. I don't think we will make another trip to Quartzsite tomorrow – just two many people for us, especially with Mo and Molly along. The dogs were really good and didn’t bark at other dogs which was surprising but it’s just a little too hot and crowded for them.

So, one more day here, and then it’s off to Sands RV Resort and their terrific swimming pool, spa and all the Palm Springs shopping.
