Crossing the Mississippi River into Minnesota

Icy conditions on I-90

Still more snow!

Snow was expected all around us so we took a chance and left the Green Bay area this morning. Our destination was Rochester, MN. We decided to head west instead of north after we called several campgrounds north of where we were and couldn't find any that were open. It has been snowing all day. When we crossed the Mississippi River into Minnesota the landscape changed from fairly flat farmland to tree covered hills. When we got on I-90 in Minnesota the road started icing up in places. It was pretty scary driving so we got off the interstate about 30 miles from Rochester and found a Holiday Inn Express. The camper is in the parking lot but we are warm and safe.
