This morning was the environmental education day for Anahuac schools first grade. What fun. My class was a Habitat Relay and the kids loved it! John opened the VIS.

Once the kids were gone, things were rather quiet, so we had time to take walks in the Butterfly Garden. I saw a Pied-billed Grebe mama with a chick on her back and another near her in the pond. When we went back after closing the VIS, we saw the mama and a gator in the pond. Our hope is that he didn’t eat those chicks. We hope to go tomorrow to get pictures.

Dinner was chicken/veggie/Alfredo in between laundering just about everything in the RV. We are getting ready. The campfire was delightful.
