Camped at Caiguna

12th Friday,

The gods were with us today; our spare fan belt arrived early so we were able to pick it up just after running the Van thru the wash. We had a bit of wind till we got to Norseman but we stopped at Salmon Gums for fuel and got it just as the price was changing from $1.55 to $1.62… Then when we got to Norseman we topped up again @ $1.62 and miraculously the wind died down quite a bit and we had a tail wind all the way to here. Here is 37km east of Caiguna at a camping spot in the scrub on the Long Straight, you can drive about 600M of the road and minimise the traffic noise. We made good time today the chap parked next to us also came from Esperance and it’s the first spot that had anyone in it apart from Balladonia but it was too early in the day to stop and twiddle our thumbs. We will try and stop at Bunda Cliffs camp tomorrow if there is not a strong wind blowing.

Now it’s time to boil the billy and have a cuppa…..
