It rained during the night and was still raining when we woke up, but we could see that we could drive out of the rain belt by continuing on to St. Louis. The roads are so pretty in Missouri. I remember when we last came through - last October and the fall colors were stunning. Now, everything was green and gorgeous. We passed two of our favorite water towers in St. Clair, MO

We were planning to stay at Babler State Park which is on the western edge of St. Louis. We had planned to stay there before and never done it, so were determined to get there this time. It is a beautiful park, but if you're using Microsoft Streets and Trips to plot your trip, don't pay any attention to how they tell you to get there - it's wrong. We went part of the wrong way, then started looking the map and figured out the right way before we got ourselves in Big Trouble.
The park is luscious and green with nice concrete pads. We met some nice people next door - Gerri and Al - who had an Avion. We will probably go back there when we can stay longer. Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of the park.
