|We set out at 11pm for a 2.5 hr mini-bus ride to the base of Mt.Sinai. We climbed through the night, starting at 1:45am, and arrived at the top at about 4am. We quickly got into our sleeping bags and put on our polar fleeces at it was freezing cold.
After an hour's rest, we watched the sunrise. It was beautiful.
On our way down, we took the 4200 some odd steps down to St.Catherine's Monastary, which houses the burning bush of Moses.
