It was after 3:00 when I finally got back on the road again, so I didn't drive very far. I made a couple of stops at view points. The prettiest one was south of Crescent City, California. I drove through a little section of the Redwood National and State Park and on to the Stone Lagoon Campground north of Trinidad, CA. It is unusual, to say the least. There was quite a large herd of elk in front, most of them lying down. It has a School House Museum, a general store and a restaurant, a video arcade and TV room in a big barn.
