Livingston Area Community Band

Livingston Area Community Band - Xylophone Duet

Today David worked on my TV service again. We thought that the job would be completed but there is still a problem with the antenna booster. Now, at least, I can get 31 channels without it (which is more than I need!). He is sending the faulty booster back to exchange it for a new one. Then I should be able to get 69 channels, with better reception to boot.

Tonight about 20 of us went to a concert by the Livingston Area Community Band at the First Baptist Church. The band members range in age from 12 to 84. They played a nice variety of music and did it very well. They ended the program with the songs of all branches of the armed forces. As each song began, the emcee would call out which branch it was and asked all the veterans of that branch to stand. There were representatives from all the branches, which I thought was especially nice. The band is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization, so they depend on contributions from the community. The band members and director come from Livingston and nearby towns and they all volunteer their time.
