Today was my last full day in Taiwan, and in practice my last day on this trip, as all of tomorrow and the day after will be taken up travelling, first back to Korea, then home. So I spent an enjoyable (and dry!) day wandering around Taipei: temples, museums, parks, some shopping, and just generally appreciating the place. I saw this awesome Tai Chi Master teaching a class by the Confucius Temple, and there was much firecrackers, discordant music and strange goings on at both the Bao-An Temple and the City God Temple. And I had to have my temperature taken and OK'd before they would let me into the Art Museum! It also turns out that there's a rock club in the basement of my building. Maybe if I'd found out earlier, maybe if it was five years ago, but after being on my feet on city streets all day I will almost certainly give it a miss. Getting old!
