Ferndale, WA - The Cedars RV Resort - Site 121

Left front damage - you can't see the concave indent from this...

Here you can see where it is pushed in a little

The trip up to Ferndale was short, but was anything but uneventful. We finally christened the mothership with an accident! We were on I-5 about 12 miles from our destination when a merging car at an on ramp forced me into the left lane where I sideswiped another car. Luckily we barely touched and all of the damage was cosmetic, more to the mothership than his car. It wasn't near as bad as I had feared when we hit at 60 MPH - lots of noise and I figured we had tore it up pretty good. I included a couple of pictures. We don't plan on getting it repaired until we return home - no time in our itinerary for body work!

The campground here at The Cedars is really nice. It's just a big parking lot but the sites are large and have full hook-ups. They have a row of cedars separating each site from the next. We even have a fire pit but it is full of water with all of the rain. They have cable and wireless if you are willing to pay extra but since satellite and cell service were quick and easy, no need for us to pay for their services.

Today is our 41st wedding anniversary and we just lazed around the motorhome and then purchased some last minute things we know will be higher in Canada. We also went to Olive Garden for our traditional Italian anniversary dinner. It was really good!!

Tomorrow we cross the border into Canada - if they let us in?? :)
