CARE participants were invited to attend a crawfish boil at the Bradford Assisted Living facility today. Six of us went. Most of the other residents stayed at CARE for the May birthday party. I ate only three of the crawfish and didn’t really care for them. They are a lot of trouble for such a small amount of meat. The main reason I went along in the first place was to hear the advertised zydeco group play; I was very disappointed that they weren’t there. A young lady with a guitar was providing the entertainment instead. She did a good job.
This afternoon volunteer David Morse washed Daisy. She wasn’t terribly dirty, since we aren’t under trees now, but she was starting to look a bit rough. Now she looks spiffy once again.
