We have had all kinds of different weather lately, most of it severe. We were just getting use to the cold and high winds, then it got cloudy and then it started snowing. Hey, our goal is to always stay away from snow and ice. With all the bad weather we did go to the movies twice and ate dinner out one night before the movie. Susan even had to walk Tootsie out in the snow, because it snowed for about 8 hours. For the most part it was too cold to run our heat pump for heat, so we ended up running the furnace and of course we ended up needing more propane. Monday night we went to the AAA baseball game in Albuquerque, the team is the farm team for the LA Dodgers, and they were playing the farm team for the Chicago Cubs. We got two seats for a total of $11 and it was 50 cent hot dog night. We ate 9 hot dogs. On Sunday we tried to drive to the top of the mountain where they have a ski resort. We only got partway up when the truck was losing traction, so I hastily turned around and went back down. We only got to elevation 7500 feet and the top is over 10,000 feet.

Yesterday we had to leave the rv park we were in because of reservations. We checked around and any rv park that had space was expensive. So we drove 10 miles further away from Albuquerque and parked in Wal Mart for the night. Susan had a ball, it was the 2nd largest Wal Mart in the USA. She spend 4 hours shopping. Susan glanced in our address book and she just happened to notice that friends of ours that moved out of Ramona, had moved to where we were (about 2 miles from the Wal Mart. It was Art and Gail Falkoner. Art has changed his career from engineering to teaching handicapped kids. The octomom has nothing on Art and Gail. The raised 19 children, I think 4 were their own and about 8 or so were adopted and others were in foster care with them. The 15 adopted and foster kids all had physical and mental handicaps/problems. They came over to our trailer last night and had dinner with us. Next time we are in this area we can stay on their property. Their house is on 10 acres.

Today we pulled into the rally parking area. They are expecting 2,800 RV's.
