We visited Breckenridge again today, it was even more beautiful than the last visit. Everything was covered with snow, it looked like a winter wonderland. I was wishing I had my sister was with me, she is a wonderful artist and would have loved to paint some of the incredible scenes we saw today.
We had lunch at the Wasabi Japanese Restaurant and enjoyed it much. We had planned to have lunch at the Gold Dredge Restaurant, but it was closed. The Dredge is a two million pound floating restaurant, a replica of one of the largest and longest operating dredges in Breckenridge. (see photos)
Breckenridge has a reputation for turning visitors into locals. They have chalkboards all over town trying to find out what makes this place so magnetic. The chalkboards asked people to share the reasons they love Breckenridge by posting photos online (hashtag #BreckBecause), entering stories, or by giving input on chalkboards placed throughout town. It was cool watching people draw pictures and tell their stories.
It was another outstanding day in Colorado, check back later for more.
