Our trip from Sioux Falls, SD to Rock Port, MO cover 254 miles down I-29. It was the same agricultural scenery we had seen coming across South Dakota as we continued in Iowa and then Missouri with the too frequent occurrence of construction. It seems the complete interstate system up here is in bad shape and requires a lot of work. Fortunately, the huge construction project around Omaha has been mostly completed since we came through in May. There are no pictures except of the construction since the other scenery was much more of the same we have already seen.
We are staying at the Rock Port RiversEdge Campground
just west of I-29 shortly after entering Missouri. We have a very nice 50 amp, full hookup, pull-through with easy satellite access and good Verizon coverage. If the park was full, it would be a little tight and crowded but they try to put you every other site so you have plenty of room. It is an ex KOA under new ownership and the owners are very nice and try to do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. They also have some nicer spots under the trees for those that are camping and not just stopping en route to somewhere else.
We didn't do anything but watch football while here - Gators win, yea!!! We didn't even unhook Libby - I know she is getting restless back there, especially since we will probably not unhook at our next stop either!!
