We were not short of things to do along the Catlins Coast. We saw rare yellow-eyed penguins, waterfalls, Cathedral Caves and Slope Point which is the southernmost point of South Island. There was one beach in particular, Cannibal Bay, the home to many sea lions who were happily lying on the beach soaking up the sun. You can get extremely close to these animals and they more than happy seemed happy to have their photos taken.
