Larry & Lee Ann's Journey travel blog

Took a short drive to Cave Lake...

It is such a pretty lake...

There were plenty of folks fishing along the shore, catching small trout...

Everything is so green & pretty...

We have an agreement, no cards or flowers but Lare got me...

We're still in Ely even though we'd planned to leave this past week. We discovered the battery died on our fairly new Garmin GPS and didn't want to travel without it. So went online & ordered it with expedited delivery but it hasn't arrived as yet. Guess it will come on Monday. So we'll be heading out on Tuesday I believe. Today I'll give Onyx a bath & Mom will color my hair. I keep thinking I'm just going to let the roots go but guess I'll wait a few more years on that one! Larry did years ago & I love the color of his hair & beard. Gray can be good, lol!

It's warmed up considerably now, getting into the low to mid 80's. We hear it was about 110 in Vegas yesterday so 80+ is good! Larry & Marion got the swamp cooler going for Mom a couple of days ago & we've been using it. Works pretty good. There was a prediction for thundershowers on Friday but I think we got a total of about 12 drops. They have pretty mild summers here year round which is one of the reasons Mom & Dad moved hear. We won't discuss the winter months, lol!

It was sister Joyce's birthday yesterday, hope she enjoyed her evening out with her friend Mary. June is birthday month in this family. Nephew Alex turned 17 on Friday, three of our granddaughter's this week & great grandson Ryan later in the month. Wish we could spend their special day with each & every one of them but we'll have to settle for pictures. Are you reading this ladies????

Well, guess I'd better get busy. We still have to repack our basement, load the boat & finish up a few small chores. And it's time to eat. I'm starving! Thanks for stopping by & have a great day...
