The male Mallard's get a bit frisky with each other when there's...

As do the females! You go girl, lol....

Yep, I'm here too!

Many of the cactus are in bloom...

Pretty in their own way, don't you think?

Nice pic guys!

Much as I hate to admit it, the guys prevailed today!

We had a nice visit with Bonnie & Larry on Sunday. It was a very hot weekend, I think it was 103 on both days, so we mostly hung out inside in the air conditioning. We did take a few minutes to feed the ducks before heading back to the rig for a rousing game of Hand & Foot. After the temp dropped down into the low 90's, the guys headed out in the boat for a couple of hours. They were disappointed in their fishing efforts, not a bite, but they enjoyed the scenery and the laid back atmosphere as they trolled along. It really is a lovely canyon & the river is so clear.

Bonnie & I watched a Hallmark movie while the guys were gone and prepared most of our dinner meal so that all we had to do was grill the steaks when they returned. All too soon it was 10pm & time for them to head home. We're so glad they came, it's fun to share a bit of our lifestyle with family. Hopefully they'll get out on the road with us a bit in the next few years. I know they'd like to do so.

Yesterday we worked on deflating, cleaning & packing up the boat. We also took our awnings down as the winds have picked back up again & they were flapping & fluttering around pretty good. You might remember that hail took all three awnings out last year in South Dakota, so these are new awnings. We'd like to keep them around for awhile, lol! The camp hosts here at Willow Beach let us know when we arrived that they have seen many awnings ripped off in the past year. So we chose to believe them. But last week I convinced Larry to put them out as the wind seemed to have settled down for a few days. Well, it's back. So,better safe than sorry. There is a prediction of rain for late this evening & all day tomorrow as well. Hence our decision to put the boat away. We leave on Friday, heading back to Vegas for a week or so before heading on to Ely. It's hard to believe that it's been a month since we arrived. We've enjoyed our time here & I'm sure we'll return again. Well, time to go for a walk. See ya.....
