Tonight I went with Inge Rider, Mark Remple, Ivri Messinger and Happy Almaguer to see Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by The City Theatre Company. It took place sometime in the 1920s. We enjoyed the performance.
The City Theatre is a sponsored project of Austin Creative Alliance and is funded and supported in part by the City of Austin through the Cultural Arts Division. The theatre has an intimate proscenium stage and seating for eighty-five. It also has a rehearsal room, dressing room, classroom space and a pretty lounge with concessions bar.
It has been so long since I studied Shakespeare in college that I had forgotten most of the details of this play. I guess it’s good to refresh the ol’ memory once in a while.
