Vanderhoof, BC - Dave's RV Park - Site 19

Giant Checkerboard

Nine hole miniature golf course

Closer view of part of the gold course

It was only about a three hour ride over to Vanderhoof from Quesnel. The first half was getting to Prince George where we had originally planned to spend a couple of days before diverting to Quesnel. We finally go to see some more wildlife on the second half of the trip from Prince George to Vanderhoof. We saw deer three times - three in one group, two in another and only one in the last. We also saw another black bear, but alas, no moose yet!

This campground is one of the best we have been in. Immaculate restrooms, showers and laundry room. They also have a community area with a fire pit, horse shoes, giant checkers and miniature golf. We have a long, full hookup pull-through so we don't have to unhook Libby since we will only be here one night. It is only about 15% full now but there are some still coming in. I was able to get the satellite set up pretty quick and they have WiFi. I imagine they are quite a bit fuller later in the year. Tomorrow we head for Telkwa, BC for two days. That will be our last stop before Prince Rupert.
