So, the weather has not been cooperating all week long! The winds have been high & low, mostly high. Not much fun to get out & about in. They blow all night long making it tough for me to sleep, so I've been up by 7:30am every day. Amazing! I generally sleep in after staying up half the night doing my reading & computer work. So, we've been taking advantage of the morning wind lull & walking every morning this past week. Our campground is up on a bluff, quite a distance from the river's edge. It's an easy walk down but everything that goes down must come back up, right? LOL Anyway, it's a beautiful place to walk, and I have to admit, I'm loving the early morning sights & sounds! On the plus side, I lost a couple of pounds this week, yay!!!!

There's a chance the kids are coming for a visit on Sunday so yesterday we went into the office to check on the larger rental crafts available & the availability of life jackets. There are numerous size crafts & models available, so depending on the weather, we hope to be on the water Sunday. It rained pretty steadily last night with sporadic showers throughout the night. More showers are predicted for today as well as wind. The temperature has dropped 15-20 degrees which is a bummer for all the campers that arrived for the weekend on Friday. The campground is full as I write this but it appears most everyone is huddled inside.

The storm is scheduled to move out tomorrow, but the weather forecast keeps changing, so we are keeping a close eye on it. Of course as the week moves on it gets warmer & warmer with no winds forecasted but that doesn't help us out for Sunday. We'll be back into the highs 80's by next weekend. Anyway, we've got our fingers crossed for a beautiful day. We've got our poles all rigged up with 20lb line now & plan to catch & eat a big one. Brother Larry is just waiting for word that we've in fact, 'landed a nice one', and he's on his way, lol! In the meantime, I've finished two books, watched a couple of movies & just enjoyed the down time with hubby & Onyx. Life is good!!!
