We never dreamed when we left our RV this morning we would be in snow by the afternoon. We drove the scenic La Sal Mountain Loop drive and ran into snow at the top. Having no idea we would run into snow, we definitely were not prepared. I was wishing I had my boots and gloves so I could make a snowman.

The La Sal Mountain Loop tour features a wide variety of canyon country scenery. The 60-mile long route begins by following the Colorado River, then it approaches the La Sal Mountains via Castle Valley. The route through the Manti-La Sal National Forest offers great views of the 12,000 foot plus peaks and the red rock canyons far below. Completion of the loop brings you back to Moab via U. S. Highway 191, but we were not able to continue, we had to turn around and go back the way we came. The snow got so thick we needed chains to go the rest of the way. It was absolutely breathtaking, we are hoping to go back again before the snow melts, this time we will be prepared with our boots etc.

Another incredible day in Utah, check back later for more.
