Tonight Carolyn, Pam and I walked over to Auditorium Shores to view the fireworks display. We sat near the top of a knoll where we could feel a nice breeze; otherwise, it would have been uncomfortably warm.
We were too far away from the Austin Symphony Orchestra to hear the music, which was a disappointment for me. Next year I’ll try to get much closer to them. This was the first time I had gone to Auditorium Shores; always in the past, I had gone to the Pedestrian Bridge off South Lamar.
It was difficult to get good photos because there was too much background light. I deleted nearly all the ones I had taken. There was a nice sunset, though, with colors even in the east and reflecting off some of the buildings downtown. Several of the buildings had red, white and blue lights on the tops or sides – a nice touch.
