|Today, we visited the Holocaust Museum which had some very sad stories. One was of a boy who was taken away from his town to a concentration camp then separated from his mother and sister. Later on he finds out his mother and sister were murdered by the Nazis. We also saw old film footage, guns, propaganda's sheets, and flags from the Holocaust. When we were done we walked to the Smithsonian museum of American History. Along the way we got ourselves a pretzel from a pretzel stand. At the American history museum we saw many things. We saw old instruments from the 1700's, we saw old propaganda's from World War II and World War I, old uniforms and machine guns from World War I, Two big steel bars that held up the World Trade Center from 9/11, Dorothy's original slippers from the Wizard of Oz, one of the first computers, a drum used at JFK's funeral, and many more. When the museum closed we drove home to relax for the rest of the day. I learned that there were actual remains from 9/11.
