Our last stop on the tour was Market Square (El Mercado). This was my first visit to this site. It was interesting but I didn’t buy anything.
The plazas of Market Square, also known as El Mercado, are filled with family-owned cafes, working artists and the largest Mexican Market north of the Rio Grande. They are open from early morning until late at night. There are more than 100 shops in the Market Plaza. Market Square is also the scene of many Hispanic festivals.
