We made the trip from Sweetwater to Grand Prairie today, about 215 miles, mostly all on I-20. It was mostly rolling country, but as we neared Dallas, the scenery changed !! .... so did the traffic!

We will be here for a couple days, we are catching up with friends Mark & Trish whom we have not had the pleasure to meet yet, but have known them for two yrs, they had rented our SC Condo. They told us if you are ever in TX, look us up so we came to meet them and share a meal. They were the ones that told us about Loyd Park. It is run by Grand Prairie Parks, Arts, & Recreation.

They were kind enough to pick us up at our campsite and treated us to a fantastic meal at (Babes ) in Cedar Hill. We are thrilled to have finally met them and looking forward to many yrs of a great friendship.

We have a very nice lake front site and Bentley is enjoying seeing ducks, fish, loons etc. It is very quiet and peaceful here just sorry to have to leave a day early.

One thing we have learned you need to be flexible in this life style. Due to incoming storms like the past few days we opted to head out this morning (Tuesday) rather than: (Wednesday) to stay ahead of the next round of storms.

Stay tuned much more to share on our quest from 85365 to 29576
