Our Trip To Western Australia travel blog

Twilight Beach

Sunset Beach

Ahhhhh delightful Esperance here we are.

Probably our last stop longer than overnight in WA. Nice Van park with the kiddies jumping Castle up front and away from the grey brigade who come on trips like this to get away from the youthful exuberance of the younger ones on School holidays.

The weather has improved and it’s now bright and sunny with even hotter temps forecast for Sun, Mon & Tues….

Some stunning coastal scenes here and beautiful beaches…

Though it’s School Holidays and a long weekend Esperance enjoys a rural lifestyle with everything shut except a few restaurants and the IGA’s open after noon on Saturday and nothing will open until Tuesday. Such a change from the hyperbole of the Eastern States. Even the miniature railway was only running one diesel hauled train; TVIC explained that they would be running the steam loco tomorrow when the markets were on….. Hence all the little kiddoes are giving the jumping castles at the Van Parks a good workout.

So tomorrow we will visit the markets and stock up on boiled lollies to feed the over active kids on the Jumping Castles – we saw a sign that made us chuckle “all unattended children will be given high caffeine drinks and a puppy!”

Stay tuned for further updates until we leave beautiful Esperance and hit the “Communications Free Zone” from Norseman to Ceduna.
