Well, the temperature finally dropped and it started snowing but we were unable to fly today. It has not stopped all day and night. The glow was cancelled due to weather which is a real disappointment to the Team,Festival and to the town.

Part of the group went skiing in fresh powder up to their knees and part went to Gstaad for a wonderful lunch and train ride in the snowy Alps.

We have been told that there is a window of opportunity tomorrow afternoon for our final flight of the event. We are hoping for sunshine and packed powder on the launch site so we can get one more flight in!

We finally got to spend some time with our friend and past crew member Roland from Chateau d'Oex. We had marvelous wine and munchies and were introduced to his lovely lady Regula. He brought us up to date on his tour of the western national parks in the US. Hopefully we will see him sometime this year in Colorado touring Rocky Mountain National Park. Thanks, Roland and Regula for your hospitality

After a great fondue dinner made by the Carter family and doubla creme with meringues, the Team hit the streets of downtown Chateau d'Oex for live music, revelry and hot wine. Instead of thousands of people lining the streets as usual during the Glow, there were about fifty of us dancing in the snow to a DJ from the Caribou Club. Oh, well! We tried to add spirit to the festivities!
