It's been a busy but really nice week for sure! Cousins Lois & Keith arrived from California on Sunday & after they got settled in we met cousin Clay for dinner. Lois, Clay & I were all born the same year (long, long, ago!) & were very close when we were kids. We've grown apart as the years have gone by, due to distance. So it was really good to catch up on our lives and to learn about our respective Aunts, Uncles, cousins, husbands, kids & grandkids. We had dinner at Garduno's at the Palm's Hotel & Casino and Larry & I found it interesting that they both love Mexican cuisine too! Unfortunately, Clay's wife Linda had a touch of the flu & wasn't able to join us this evening. We spent almost four hours together and the time flew by all too quickly. I sure hope we can all get together again soon! Unfortunately, Clay had to return to California early the next morning so he wasn't able to join us for lunch on Monday.

Mom & Joyce drove in the 90 miles from Mesquite, and my Uncle Austin, Mom's youngest brother, along with his daughter Kimberly & son-in-law Don joined us. Tawnia, Miss Jasmine, Levi, Bonnie, Larry & of course Lois & Keith rounded out the group. It was a very nice afternoon spent laughing, joking & reminiscing. Oh my, could we tell you some stories! But, maybe some things are best 'left unsaid', lol...

Tomorrow Larry & I are taking Lois & Keith to the Valley of Fire, one of our favorite destinations in this area. The entrance is not far off I-15 and it's a real shame that so many folks travel past it each & every year and never take the time to stop. There are a couple of campgrounds available in the area too but I'll cover that next time. Sure hope the weather stays just like it is for tomorrow & for a few more weeks too, it's been quite beautiful for all of our visitors. And we'd like to get the Sea Eagle out on Lake Mead. It's time to go fishing!!!
