Spent most of the day today getting familiar with my new Kindle Fire. I can now receive e-mail, search the web, play games (if I ever get any time, lol) as well as watch movies & of course, read books. I think I'm going to love it! The wind kicked up today & the temp dropped a few degrees so we stuck pretty close to home. I made a nice salad & lasagna for dinner & then we played our favorite card game, Hand & Foot. It was a close score most of the way but Bonnie & I prevailed in the last hand to win for the night. I sure come home in a better mood when that happens. One of my resolutions is to try & be a better sport when we don't win, I hate to lose at anything!

Got a call from Alaska this evening from son Jim. He & his wife Paula are arriving at the end of the week for a 7 day visit. We are so looking forward to seeing them, it's been way too long. One of the reasons for his call was to see if we were running short on salmon & halibut. He's going to bring a 50 pound care package with him, YES! And a little moose too. Not quite sure about that one, but brother Larry assures me I'll love it.

So that's it for now. I am continuing to sort through my 2011 pics, trying to be selective about the one's I'm sharing with you. I took over 13,000, so as you can imagine, it's a difficult task. I hope you enjoy reliving some of the places we saw this past year. I'm hoping it might inspire one or two of you to get out there & explore this big, beautiful world. It's truly wonderful....
