Today Vee and I went our separate ways again. She went back home to College Station and I headed for Brenham. My first stop was at the Fireman’s Park. It was established in 1884 and used by the Fire Department for their Maifest Celebrations from 1881 until 1941. It was given to the City of Brenham on March 14, 1917, “for cancellation of the department’s indebtedness to the city.”
